Our coffee table was too big so we picked this one up. It looks great, works great, and the lift height is perfect! The table has an extra board under the bottom shelf to add weight. This weight counter balances the table when it's lifted, so it won't tip over. The open storage on the ends is icing in the cake!
Putting together the coffee table wasn't the easiest for one person. The table seems pretty sturdy so far.
Good quality piece - very sturdy and looks nice in the living room. It was fairly easy to put together and the directions were very good. We love the lift top and it glides open and closed very easily. I only gave four stars because I just came around the corner and scratched and bruised my leg on the corner of the table. :( All in all though, we really like it.
This table hits the mark for us. We needed something small but not too small. Plus we definitely wanted a lift top. The color is a nice grayish taupe with wood grain accents. We like the access to the sides when the top is down. We definitely like the handles that were provided for the front & back. That makes it so much easier to move around. This design is very well thought out.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
