I found out during assembly that one of the short file glides was broken. Upon contacting Sauder, I explained the situation and they were willing to replace the damaged piece. I gave them the part number and they promptly shipped the replacement to me. Unfortunately I had given them the wrong part number; so I contacted them again explained that I had asked for the wrong part and gave them the correct part number and again it was promptly shipped to me, which I received today. All at no cost. Now I can start hanging my files in my cabinet.
I needed a cabinet to put my office TV on when I found this file cabinet it was just the right height and the file drawers hold a lot of files. I was able to empty 2 sets of file drawers which is 4 drawers. Another advantage is the drawers are deep so you can use them for even storage.
Nice design. What I really like is that only one drawer can be opened at a time which helps keep the file cabinet balanced and prevents the cabinet from falling forward. It was also easy to assemble and it looks like a piece of furniture. This has been a great addition to my home office/guest bedroom.
OK cabinet for the price. Assembly is difficult, as pieces don’t fit together precisely. One set up ball bearings fell out, and I have been unable to reinsert them causing one of the drawers to be difficult to pull out. I don’t open that drawer much, so it doesn’t matter anyway, LUCKILY. Also, the drawers do not extend out far enough to put items into them easily. I have to put the items at the front, then slide them to the back of the drawer.
This was actually nicer than the picture.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
