This desk is very flimsy when built, finished product feels like it will collapse at the slightest pressure. Materials used are very cheap and damage easily. Would definitely not recommend or purchase again.
looks pretty well made, however set aside 4-6 hours to put it together. lots of pieces and is really heavy, so you might need someone to help out.*update* spoke little too soon with the review. the desk laminate easily gets damage if you place wet cup on the table. you'll be okay if you use a coaster, but i accidentally left my cup on table and table top gets damaged.
Good luck putting this turd together. Mine is still sitting in my living room half assembled, because they incorrectly drilled the holes in one of the parts. But don't think they'll be in a hurry to fix that. They supposedly shipped the replacement part out last week, but the tracking info I has says I won't receive it until next week.If you like partially constructing a desk until you realize it is an impossible task because the parts don't match the instructions, this desk is for you.
My high schooler assembled this all by herself. This was her first assembly start to finish. She loves it too!!
I love the style but somewhat difficult to put together- definitely need 2 people.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
