Sauder East Adara Single Pedestal Desk, Cascade Oak Finish

For the price, I wish I would have purchased a used, better made desk. Several of the cams do not lock properly onto the stems. The dowel holes for the drawer fronts are not deep enough so the drawer front does not sit flush on the sides. Once I figured this out I left them off the second drawer front and it went together better. The glides on the drawer sides need to be in the exact correct position for the drawer fronts to go on. I would suggest installing these after you have the drawers completely built. I had to remove and reinstall to get the drawers to go together properly. The drawers are VERY difficult to open and close. The bottom drawer only opens halfway making it impossible to use as a file drawer. My guess is the first thing to fail will be the drawer fronts due to pulling on them so hard to get the drawers to open. I have built many pieces of RTA furniture and 2 kitchens worth of cabinets. This piece was the most difficult and cheapest quality of all. I would not recommend and regret my purchase. The only positive is the instructions are fairly straightforward and easy to understand. This is definitely a disposable desk. I'm worried if I even attempt to reposition it, the desk will fall to pieces.
